I’m an active Open Source contributor — I maintain my own libraries, extensions, CLI tools, and also contribute to well-known open-source projects.

In my free time, I explore system-level programming, experiment with large codebases like the Linux Kernel and Chromium, and build developer utilities.

I love reading about ancient civilizations, psychology, and philosophy — especially Seneca, Aristotle, and Acharya Chanakya. I also write about engineering, mindset, and philosophy from my own perspective.

  • Software Engineer PantryClub / Johannesburg, South Africa (Remote)
    Dec 2023 — Present

    I joined PantryClub as a Full Stack Developer and quickly expanded into systems engineering, IoT, automation, and infrastructure. We built our entire operational system from scratch — covering purchase orders, inventory, packaging, warehouse workflows, and shipping without any external services.

    I developed a complete Linux-based printing distribution for Raspberry Pi using Zig and C, integrated with CUPS, and deployed seamlessly — zero crashes, zero complaints. Built with NASA’s 10 Coding Rules and Tiger Style principles, it was rock-solid in production.

    I also built:

    • Auto-GRV system using AI to extract product data from invoices
    • Remote Chrome debugger in Go for Puppeteer sessions
    • OCR-based text extraction utility in Python
    • Full-stack applications using SolidStart, gRPC, and Kysely

    This role helped me master designing fault-tolerant systems, maintainable codebases, and efficient multi-language tooling.

    At BHuman.ai, I built rich interactive UIs using SolidJS, Framer Motion, WebSockets, and advanced Web Animation APIs.

    I also worked briefly with Rust on backend services and helped build an AI-powered video chat platform using real-time audio, WebSockets, and browser APIs.

    I even rewrote the bhuman-vad-web package (Voice Activity Detection) to improve voice capture accuracy in browsers.
